Choose one poem from this section and discuss how ande to what extent it concerns itself with the internal (experiential) realm or the external (social) realm or both.
The poem "Facing it" I feel is about the internal, or experimental realm of human nature. The narrator of the poem plays with words, while he seems to be looking at the reflection of his outward appearance, he is really "reflecting" upon how he sees himself; as nothing more tham stone and flesh. However, his vision, or lack of vision, of himself was possibly the result of outward, physical events, such as he describes feeling the names of possibly thousands of the deceased, memorials which are lingering with memories. Its as if he needs to hide from his internal state in order to flee the once physical world which caused so much pain.
